A Very Simple Paint Re-Do Project...Let's Eat!

In the midst of this summer full of family happenings, I took a few minutes (and that's really all it took!) to do a fun re-do project!  Remember the monkey pod wood pieces that so many of us had in our homes growing up?  I remember many pieces in my home, souvenirs from my military father's tours...especially a large wood fork and spoon set.  Recently I found a set in a thrift store and knew I wanted to do a simple re-do.  I almost forgot to get a "before" photo...but I'm sure you have seen these...

Just a quick coat of black spray paint totally changes these!  I think they would be really fun done in bright colors, too,
for a modern look!

They are hung on either side of the French doors in the
dining area of our sunporch.  They are 41" tall and really
make a statement...

So fun...and they come in many sizes for different projects!
Until next time...

I have a question for you. I see you are using bloglovin for following. Do you like it and is it similar to GFC? I'm such a dork when it comes to these types of things and I don't like change. But I need to do something before GFC goes away the 1st of July.

  11. I know exactly what certain members of our extended family would do with those. Yes. Bring them to the dinner table and try to eat with them.

They're a fun and quirky addition to your room!
